چکیده
Abstract In recent years, due to the installation of selective catalytic reduction (Selective Catalytic Reduction, hereinafter referred as SCR) devices, high temperature oxidation failure has occurred frequently in automobile exhaust systems. To explore its mechanism, this paper takes 439 ferritic stainless steel which is often used pipes an example and uses XRD, SEM, EDS experimental methods study behavior at 700 °C, 800 °C 900 °C. The results show that oxide layer becomes thicker degree increases with increase working steel. products different temperatures are different. When phase structure on surface sample Cr 2 O 3 Fe , dense uniform. As rises sintered together, needle-like appears film. inner outer layers, shell structure, generated FeO, other iron oxides, very serious. At junction substrate, there particles such SiO TiO Nb a positive effect oxidation.

Isothermal and cyclic oxidation behavior of AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel coated with titanium
In order to improve the oxidation resistance of ferritic stainless steel, it is possible to deposit a protective coating on steel substrate. In this research through the usage of pack cementation method a coating of titanium was applied on the surface of AISI 430 stainless steel. Scanning Electron-Microscopy (SEM), Energy- Dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDAX) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were us...
متن کاملModelling Mechanical Properties of AISI 439-430Ti Ferritic Stainless Steel Sheet
The comprehension of the anisotropy impacts on mechanical properties of the rolled steel sheets was investigated using a non-quadratic anisotropic yield function. In this study, experimental and modelling determination regarding the behaviour of an industrial rolled sheet for a ferritic stainless low-carbon steel were carried out. The parameters of the associated yield equation, derived from th...
متن کاملRelationship between Microstructure and Corrosion Behavior of Martensitic High Nitrogen Stainless Steel 30Cr15Mo1N at Different Austenitizing Temperatures
The relationship between microstructure and corrosion behavior of martensitic high nitrogen stainless steel 30Cr15Mo1N at different austenitizing temperatures was investigated by microscopy observation, electrochemical measurement, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis and immersion testing. The results indicated that finer Cr-rich M₂N dispersed more homogeneously than coarse M23C₆, and the...
متن کاملBehavior of high strength structural steel at elevated temperatures
This paper presents the mechanical properties of high strength structural steel and mild structural steel at elevated temperatures. Mechanical properties of structural steel at elevated temperatures are important for fire resistant design of steel structures. However, current design standards for fire resistance of steel structures are mainly based on the investigation of hot-rolled carbon stee...
متن کاملThe Ballistic Behavior of High Strength, Low Alloy-100 Steel at Sub-zero Temperatures
The ballistic response of the high strength, low alloy (HSLA-100) steel at ambient and temperatures of -400°C, -800°C and -1960°C is investigated in this work. Lambert-jonas equation is used to fit the experimental results into a curve. The effect of quenching on ballistic behavior of HSLA-100 is also studied. The experiments are conducted on 3mm thick rectangular specimens impacted by blunt ti...
